Finland has published the world’s first interactive 3D free audiobooks animation story book to offer children a brand new experience, according to Finnish media report Tuesday.

The 3D animation story book for children is just like ordinary fairy books, only with some special small black squares in some pages of it to indicate the interactive 3D animation. Once the web camera faces toward a black square, 3D-animation cartoon figures and pictures will appear in computer screen.  PCSpeed.net

Readers of e-books and listeners of free audio books may not be able to turn paper pages, lend their copies to friends or file them away on living room bookshelves. But they do have the comfort of knowing that they paid less for them than for hardcovers.

The e-book price for Ken Follett’s new novel exceeds that of the hardcover version.James Patterson fans face that, too, prompting Kindle customers to lodge complaints.

Unless they bought “Fall of Giants” by Ken Follett, which was published by Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Group USA, last week. On Amazon.com, the price for the e-book was $19.99; the hardcover edition was $19.39. PCSpeed.net

audio books

One of the key innovations Amazon (AMZN) implemented on its way to becoming the largest online book retailer in the country was to allow its customers to preview snippets of books they might want to purchase. “Try before you buy” was hardly a new concept, but in Amazon’s hands, the “search inside this book” feature became a core component of a successful business model. Are the British better writers than Americans?

Speed Up My PC

While it’s folly to generalize about the literature of an entire nation, I think British novelists tend to be more ironic, and I like irony. I enjoy the suspicion that a writer may be pulling my leg. The British are also good at wit—the art of “thinking in fun while feeling in earnest,” as J.B. Priestley put it. American wit sometimes seems like what Mr. Priestley described as “men sitting on pats of butter or smelly cheeses.” PC Speed

Written by Free Audio Books - Free audiobooks on August 30, 2010 – 8:08 pm -
